Born of God – 1

Born of God

Episode 1

I am filled with the Joy of the Lord to fellowship with you in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as we are mingled and taught by the Spirit of God. Contrary to popular facts and opinions presented by men of the flesh, the Spirit of God (who is the administrator of the church) through the Gospel of Grace is banging in more goals as the Church of God grows, wax strong and fills the whole earth hallelujah. I believe strongly the very words of Jesus when He said “I will build my Church and the gates of hell will not stand against it.”

It’s interesting how John communicates strongly by revelation our origin in God as ones’ birth or born of God in parallel to Paul’s new creation realities. Being born of God carries a unique spirit of revelation and I intend for us to explore the richness of it.

There are various ways to look at our relationship with God and that is what makes the difference between religion and Christianity. It so important we look at the true kind of intimate relationship and fellowship that exist in God. Our ignorance of this robs us of utilizing the full benefits that are available to us. To be born of God strongly means we are the end results of a divine love romance (intercourse) that took place in the Godhead. This is not only literal or conceptual but also vital. Paul alludes to this in Rom 8:29 “For whom he did foreknow, He also predestinate conformed to the image(profile) of His Son, that He might be the firstborn (first begotten) among many brethren”. (the Greek strongly adds from the same womb).

Moses once upon a time prophetically travailing in intercessions with the Godhead concerning the Church in the wilderness said “Have I conceived all these people? Have I begotten them, that thou shouldest say unto me, Carry them in thy bosom, as a nursing father beareth the sucking child, unto the land which thou swarest unto their fathers?”

This was John’s core apostolic message to the churches as fully captured in his synoptic gospel and further expatiates in his epistles. He said in John 1:12-13 “as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”

  • The word “born” reveals that we were individually and collectively conceived by God, with God and in God.
  • The word “born” also reveals that we were in a gestation or an incubation period in God.
  • The word “born” finally reveals that we were consummated by God, with God, and in God.

Can you see by pictures of visions in the spirit of meditation, how by revelation this pertains to our personal relationship, fellowship and communion in the divine experience? The Godhead deliberately and purposefully conceived, incubated and consummated us in to being, Glory to God. This knowledge of Truth should right here cure the insecurities in life, the needs and wants in life totally with immediate effect. He further reminds us that this wonder of God that was wrought in the womb of God, elevates us beyond our natural blood descent, lineage or ancestry. Therefore, subjects as bloodline issues or groupings, generational curses and demonology must be subjected under TRUTH to see if it will stand the test of TRUTH. These subjects are paralyzed and held in-operative (useless) under TRUTH.

John the revelator, consciously reminds us never to lose focus of our origin in God. In 1 John 4:4 You are of God (you came from God) and belong to Him, little children, and have already overcome them (the agents of antichrist): because greater is He that is in you, than he(Satan) that is in the world (AMP, MSG). This iota of Truth about our origin in God pulls down and demolishes perpetually every argument (or imagination) and holds captive every thought of demon consciousness as it relates to fighting with the old serpent or ancient dragon, the devil. Brothers and sisters, there is no more fighting going on between the devil and us. By virtue of our origin from God we have already overcome and are more than conquerors. (there is an African proverb that sates that “monkeys play by sizes” Selah). We belong and are found in the God-class (that is why we are called sons of God).

To be born of God shows us that our make-up, and make-out is God, our intrinsic and extrinsic values or qualities are all God’s. The strongest view I see God sharing by His Spirit to us is peradventure should we want to individually and collectively take apart (separate) into pieces to examine the source of our very being in order to determine who we are, whose we are and what is our make-up, we would notice every singular piece will be found by God, with God, in God and as God. 1 Peter 1:23  “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which lives and abides forever”.

I intend to continue this episode shortly as we probe deeper into this gospel. Always remember “we are born of God not of man nor nature nor circumstances”.

Thank You,

Min Chris Nyavor,

Psalms of the Christian 102

Episode 102

  1. Who is He that comes in the Name of the Lord, He that is born with righteousness and molded in the finest form of Godly perfection. In whose being is the very source of existence. That name transmits and yet transcends Majesty, Glory and Honour.
  2. For in that name there is Peace, yes the Prince of Peace, in that precious name there is Hope, the very Hope of all nations, which Hope we have as a sure Anchor of our souls.
  3. From eternity to everlasting, from generations to generations, divine beings coupled with the sons of men have often wondered and queried WHAT is YOUR NAME? That which was a mystery is henceforth no more a mystery.
  4. For in the SIMPLICITY of the name -JESUS – you have vested all authority, power and will in heaven, on earth and under the earth, even unto the coming of a new heaven and a new earth. Verily Verily, there is no NAME given to the Godhead than the name JESUS.
  5. How can we begin to fathom what manner of benevolence YOU have bestowed upon Man? For who is Man that thou are mindful to surname him after YOUR very precious name JESUS. So much as to function and operate in the name JESUS. We sing to that name; we lift up holy hands unto that name.
  6. To wherever this psalm is read, hallelujah, that name JESUS is ever flooding the spirits, souls and bodies of men and women. We see Jesus raining heavily and flooding the whole earth as waters upon the sea. We are continually drunk and filled singing and shouting hosanna to that precious name Jesus
  7. We call the name Jesus, LORD and MASTER over ALL, in ALL and under ALL

The Gift of God

The Gift Of God

“If thou knew (considered, perceived and was aware of) the Gift of God” (John 4:10a); Those were the very words of Jesus Christ to the Samaritan woman at the well. If we can pause for 30 seconds, reflecting and pondering, on these very words of Jesus to us, the Gift of God, the Gift of God, the Gift of God! This is such an important reality that has eluded us for too long, without which we fall into the religion of men. As we fellowship with the Father in spirit and in truth, I pray earnestly our spirits captures and nourishes on the Gift of God so much so that, our very beings respond to these living words.

Born and buttered in the religion of self-effort, we primarily and forcefully teach on what we could do for God or give to God either to be accepted by Him or to please Him and not the other way round which is what He has done for us or given to us. In view of the un-regenerated fallen spirits of the old testament, their narrative was much more about, what to give and how much to give to God. They missed the whole point why the LAWS, PROPHETS and KINGS kept talking about giving and sacrifices as much as we also do today. God (our Father) is more concerned about what He has done for us rather than what we can do for Him. All of the numerous types, shapes and shadows of giving as required by the law were but a mere figure (no substance) pointing to God’s ultimate gift to us saying specifically in psalm 40:6, sacrifices and offering the Lord doesn’t desire, gifts and sin-offerings; surprisingly David said that is not what You (God) are after or desire. But rather, Jesus Himself said for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son (the Gift of God) that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. We have been too concerned, wearied and burdened with what we can give God but God is saying “if thou knowest the Gift of God” you will not be worried.

A gift is simply defined as something given voluntarily without payment in return or acquired without being sought or earned by the receiver. (Kindly read and study carefully the definition again.) Looking at the definition again, “if thou knowest the Gift of God” God as our Father is not in the business of selling anything to us as we may falsely assume but rather He is into the love of giving to us all things that pertain to life and godliness. His free gift doesn’t come with strings attached. We need to outgrow (as soon as possible) the mindset of trying to score points with God, looking at how much we have done or sacrificed for God. Self-accomplishments are nothing short of self-righteousness before God, which He has said are like filthy rugs before Him.

Knowing and being conscious of the Gift of God, it is so surprising, why we want to rather buy and pay with our own deeds or money what He (God) has eternally chosen to be given to us as the free Gift of God. If not for religion and the traditions of men, not forgetting what Jesus said to his disciples, freely you have received, so freely give. It is astonishing today, how the traditions of men have burdened and enslaved the minds of people to the extent that, people want to sell and others want to buy the anointing of God, buy the power of God, not to talk of healing and prosperity. Respectfully, it must be said that our Father in relating and fellowshipping with us is not in a buy and sell business because, “If thou knowest the Gift of God”, nobody truly pays for a gift or else it ceases to be gift but instead it becomes wages earned or paid (worked) for. Perhaps, we should not be surprised because, as it was in the days of the Apostles, so it is in our days. In Act 8:13,18-20, Simon (a newly converted sorcerer) himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done. And when Simon saw that through laying of the apostles’ hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money, Saying, give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost. But Peter said unto him, thy money perishes with thee, because thou hast thought that the Gift of God may be purchased with money. Peter went on and said his heart was not right with God, he was in the poison of bitterness and bond of iniquity, to even consider and think of such a thing about the Gift of God. We ought to examine our hearts and conscience, in case we are trading and bargaining with God, using either money or even Christian activities to sum it all up in exchange to gain favors and opportunities with God (our Father). For the times of ignorance God has winked at and is now calling all men everywhere to repent, thus change and renew their minds.

As it relates to the physical so it is with the spiritual. On earth, the most valuable physical things in life such as the air we breathe, the water we drink, the sunshine, the rain, the vegetation and the rich mineral resources, are all free gifts of nature we never paid for. But giving human beings the opportunity, man will monetize it and ask people to line up in queues to work and pay for each and every one of them.

This reality about the Gift of God is what fuel the life and ministry of Paul and the early Apostles of the Gospel. They knew fully about the Gift of God, so much that, they operated and functioned fully in that Grace, worked miracles, signs and wonders in that awesome Gift of God (the gifts of the Spirit.) They could not do anything without that Gift of God. The emblem of the gospel was canon as the Gift of God, everywhere they went. They counted their very lives, ministry, possessions, and abilities as the Gift of God as they had learnt from Jesus.

It’s entirely legitimate to ask, how do we respond, live and function in that Gift of God? In Rom 5:17b Paul shows us the how, by teaching us that they which RECEIVE, (lambano) abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ. Contrasting that with what He also said, to certain disciples in Ephesus “have you received (lambano), the Holy Spirit, since you BELIEVED?”. This answers our question and shows us in believing and receiving by faith the Gift of God, we appropriate fully and functionally the Gift of God as kings reigning in life. (Think about this, believing in God and believing in the Gift of God are not the same Selah!). A gift in its true sense will cost the giver, but not the receiver. This looks too good to be true right, hence that is why it is called the GOSPEL. The total cost of our salvation from start to finish was and is borne by our Heavenly Father. All that is expected of us is to walk in the true light of Colossian 2:6 the same way we received of the Lord, (without paying for it) it’s the same way we walk in Him.

Beloved in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, God is encouraging each and every one of us to rise above just praying and asking, into RECEIVING by FAITH, and in receiving keep believing and receiving and never stopping to receive. Receiving in completeness, the fullness of God, the power of the Spirit, the ability of God to do all things, the gift of life and righteousness. Remember what Jesus said, “if thou knowest the Gift of God”. Someone may ask, is that all there is to the gift? Emphatically and absolutely YES! that is why it is called the free Gift of God with no strings attached. For the Gift of God, the only thing you can do is to receive it and acknowledge it (nothing more nothing less). For you shall receive power after the Holy Ghost has come upon you and of His fullness have we all receive grace for grace.

Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, we thank you for the Gift of God given to us in Christ Jesus. We receive abundantly your Gift and gifting in every facet of our lives to rule and reign in this world and to constantly demonstrate that Gift which you have given us to all men. That they may know You, the only true God and partake of your free Gift to all humanity, world without end. For by grace have we been saved through faith and that not of ourselves, it is the Gift of God not of works, lest any of us should boast.

The Psalms of the Christian 101

Psalms of the Christian

Episode 1

  1. Father, our hearts and mouths are filled with the wonder and praise of your Spirit within us. You haven’t hidden yourself from us Lord. But rather, you have flooded us completely with Yourself. All these years, you have patiently been boiling and cooking your Spirit within us. You have spiced us Lord with LOVE, JOY, PEACE, HOPE and FAITH. What an aroma to the world you have made us.
  2. Our whole being, spirit, soul and body structure response to your ever dwelling presence, early in the morning and late at night. Yes, Lord, it’s true that you promised us the later rains of your Spirit and now, even now, that later rain of your Spirit, has been pouring on us without holding back.
  3. Thank you Father, for the ultimate treasure, with which you have treasured us. For it cannot be compared to pure gold, neither can it be compared to diamond nor silver. We are worth far more than the entire creation and the world to come. Because of this treasure, you were more than willing to empty your very self of everything.
  4. The human mind cannot fathom why, of all your majesty and glory, You cherry-picked earthen vessels like us, as your permanent and holy habitation. Of the truth, you have said, you will choose, the foolish things of this world to confound the wise.
  5. I have often sat and enquired diligently on what manner of material or substance you birthed us from. You took us beyond creation and birthed us from your own self and loins, never again to be dented with sin and death.
  6. When, I saw into your eternal purpose, Hallelujah, I was completely soaked in your awe. Knowing that of all that you are in Glory both in Heaven and on Earth, you have deliberately chosen us as your final inheritance. Oh God our Father, words cannot describe, the amount of divine reverence and honor, with which you have placed on us your sons.

To the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Hosting God

IMG_4471

I have always been greatly inspired through deep meditation of how David was obsessed about building a house for God to dwell in. It may surprise many as I was, that it wasn’t God’s idea to build a physical temple, rather it was David’s. This was after many years of deep intercourse with God through fellowship and how he had captured the revelation about the residence of God. It’s amazing how he relentlessly presses in on God and weighs on him to give him the opportunity to exemplify what he could only see and experience in the spirit.

It was his dream so much so that he left enough resources for his son Solomon to finally fulfil his dream, whereas he had also provided the architectural design in very fine details by the Spirit of God.

We thank God for our very respectable bible scholars, who in many cases missed the point here having majored on how David was told by God not to build the temple but rather his son Solomon, hence focusing on the letter and not the spirit of the letter. I intend to delve into the spirit of the letter. The Ultimate question here for me, is not why David was not given the permission to build the temple, but rather I am inspired by how David through fellowship is able to capture and paint God’s concept or way of having a home on earth (The Residence of God). Furthermore, David moves on to persuade God to give him the opportunity to “prototype” the concept even though it was not yet time for that revelation to be actualized. No wonder he had a testimony amidst all the controversy as a man after God’s own heart.

There is no other psalm that demonstrates the very strings and cords of David’s heart on the very subject as he digests with God on the revelation of the Residence of God than Psalm 27:4 “One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.” This scripture is so pregnant with unfolding revelations, so much so that, I will to God that you pause, ponder, study and meditate enough on these golden scriptures for yourself. I am very confident; it will light up a burning flame in your spirit. (Don’t take my word for it, go seeking and searching if these findings are so.)

In as much as we have designed beautiful edifice to stand as temples to worship God and to foster fellowship and I am by no means underscoring the building of temples but respectfully it’s an Old Testament revelation which is still limiting our fullest expression in the light of the New Testament. Can you envisage for a moment hosting and carrying divinity in your body? All God needed to establish his Lordship again on earth was one man who could host him permanently, here on earth.

What is God’s decisive revelation concerning His Own Residence?

In Act 7, the first martyr, Stephen being full of the Holy Ghost, summarized the whole of the old testaments scriptures, when he was arrested and brought before the council of the Sanhedrin’s for preaching the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. In verse 48 he took time to espouse on temple worship saying “the Most High does not dwell in houses and temples made with hands; as the prophets of old had said in Isaiah 66:1-2”. The initial concept of a physical temple as described in the Old Testament (which was to pass away) was to symbolize what was and now is; a spiritual temple.

Then came Jesus on the scene, He, himself began to tweak the minds of people about this shift in revelation with respect to this very subject. Our Lord Jesus was the very first person as our forerunner to refer to his body as the temple of God, warning that the “prototype” thus (temple worship) has elapsed its testing phase. In John 2:19 “Jesus answered them, destroy this temple and in three days, I will raise it up again, then the Jews replied, it took forty –six years to build this temple and you will raise it up in three days? but He was speaking about the temple which was his body.”.

No wonder He was such a man of transformation, living above the circumstances of this world. A man who knew He was the very residence of God. More so He was not just talking it, He was living it. The dawn of a new dispensation, the man who was carrying God fully in his body, walking on the streets, eating and drinking, chitchatting among people. He literally carried the temple to meet people where they are not the other way round.

With reverence, the church of the wilderness (Old Testament) honored and valued the tabernacle and temple worship, made up of: The Gate, Brazen Altar and the Tabernacle Sacrifices, Laver (Basin), Menorah (Lampstand), Table of Showbread, Golden Altar of Incense, Holy of Holies and the Veil, the 10 commandments, manner which protected them in battles, defeated their enemies, provided for them in times of need and served as their health. All these artifacts were of a more spiritual essence living and active in the Man Jesus. He truly was an embodiment of all deity. Knowing this, He became the custodian and the dispenser of deity on earth. The man of Galilee, who went about doing good, healing the sick, casting out demons, raising the dead, walking on water, turning water into wine, multiplying food, deciphering divinely coded mysteries.

Isn’t it amazing and astonishing to know that, the Man Jesus of Nazareth was not carrying any of these artifacts in the temples, neither the paraphernalia that are custom to the prophets such as the rod of Moses, the altar of sacrifice, burning incense, anointing oil, holy water, mantles, the scrolls and yet He was able to fully express God fully in His body, which is His temple without any impediments. He was the outer court, the inner court and the holy of holiest all in his body.

Too Good to be True

As if the above mentioned adulates, were not enough, Jesus began to, openly reveal an inconceivable progression on this very revelation. Alluding to us that, as much as He is the residence of God, we all as individuals and collectively as the Church will actually host God and become the residence of God, as we believe in Him. In John 14: 22-23 “Jesus was asked by his disciples, how He will reveal himself to us and not the world, then Jesus answered, if a person loves Me, he will keep my words and my father will love him and We will come and make OUR HOME (permanent abode, special dwelling place) in him.

An insight of this nature as shared by Jesus Himself is the reason He said “the works (miracles, signs and wonders) that I do, will you do also and even greater than these, these attesting signs will follow those who believe, in My name will they cast out demons, speak with new tongues, take up serpents, if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them and they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. This revelation, should save a lot of us the stress of 40 days of fasting and prayers, looking for what we already have.

Our living reality in the New Testament is, knowing experientially that we host divinity in our human flesh as Jesus Christ who used to be the only begotten son, but now the first begotten Son did in time past. This knowledge when mixed with faith in our actions, causes the presence of God to manifest anywhere we find ourselves as Christians with ease. Hence permit me to say this “Church is not where you go to, rather church is who you are” and again I’m not taking anything away from gatherings in buildings for fellowship.

Ladies and gentlemen, officially we are, the residence and headquarters of God, His power and glory. We carry all godly angelic beings from within and have been given the right to dispatch them in prayer and worship. The next time, there is an urgent situation that demands the use of divine power and ability to change the situation, remember you host the DIVINE PERSON with HIS PRESENCE which abides permanently and you have no need going anywhere kindly use what you have. This means one man you can cause tremendous changes. At this point some collage of scriptures makes more spiritual reality to us than ever. “To present our bodies [dedicating all of ourselves, set apart] as a living sacrifice, holy and well-pleasing to God, which is our rational (logical, intelligent) act of worship: Take our everyday, ordinary life—our sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life— as an offering for hosting God. Romans 12:1, coupled with the intense, fervent, heartfelt and continued, prayer (supplication or request) of ONE righteous man makes tremendous power available dynamic in its working. Jam 5:16”.

In conclusion, if you agree with me, then whether at home, work or school, we can all as individuals or collectively as a group have a fully sanctified, Holy Ghost filled service. Whether, we find ourselves on the streets, at the market square (supermarkets), barbering shop or hairdressing salon, we can fully express God’s power without any form of hesitation because we carry and host God fully as men on earth, just as Jesus did everywhere He went. This is not the time to just invite people to church but more so it is time to carry, take and convey the church to them, where ever they find themselves. It’s my joy and gladness, knowing that the Spirit of God will cause us to fully participate in this revelation through our spirit in our everyday lives, because, he that is jointed to the Lord is ONE SPIRIT with Him. God used to be very far and distanced as seen in the Old Testament revelations but now the modus operandi has changed in the first coming of Jesus and the out pouring of the Holy Spirit. We can now comprehend why Paul will say in Rom 10:6-8 But the righteousness which is of faith speaks this way: say not in your heart, who shall ascend into the heavens, to bring Christ down from above or who shall descend into the deep, that is to bring up Christ from the dead? But rather, the word is near you, even in your mouth and in their heart, which is the word of Faith we preach.

This consciousness is what the dispensation of the New Testament has been expressively and vividly teaching in the living epistles.STOP looking far, your Helper is from within.

MY FATHER, MY FATHER

It’s 4:00 am, and am awake in my spirit, praying in the Holy Ghost.

Then I heard “Christian, can I lead the conversation and fellowship today PLEASE”. Ok Father am all ears.

” Am in love Chris, am so much in love with you. Do you know that?” Yes, Father, I know that. “Really, am not talking about a mental knowing but rather a heartfelt experiential knowledge of my love for you. If you knew, then why are you worried about tomorrow or the future? why do you doubt my purpose for your life? Why are you concerned about the opinions of others? Where is the Joy of your salvation? Where is the peace that passes all understanding? Where is my love and care that I gave you?”

“Why are you giving yourself over to the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, the competition and busy nature of this age. You have believed the economics and the wisdom of your days that teach scarcity of resources, the lack and need of society, the unemployment rates and the insecurities of tomorrow. These are all founded on a lie and not the truth or reality. You have taken your eyes of me and looking at the circumstances around you. You have bought into the stress and pressures of this world system.”

“When you look at the birds of the air, the fishes of the sea, the plants and the wild beasts of the field, they don’t worry about where the next meal or deal or job will come from, neither are they influenced by the praise or criticisms of other. They live in the abundant riches of my supply. Can you live by my love?”

Father what should I do to live loved without worries. “Chris, it has nothing to do with what you have to do. It has all to do with knowing who you are, a son to your loving Father. If your Heavenly Father knows how to take care of the needs of all living creatures, how much more will I not be able to supply all your needs according to my glorious riches in Christ Jesus.”

my-father

“I have loved you with an everlasting love and drawn you with my loving kindness. You are not mindful of the Rock that bore you. You sometimes forget I gave birth to you. Can a nursing mother forget or show no compassion for the child of her womb? I will not forget you Chris. If I spared not my only begotten Son Jesus, but delivered him up for you, how shall I not with him also FREELY give you ALL things? As a Father I have justified you, who is he that can condemn you?”

Father is it possible to truly live in this world, with no worries, fear of tomorrow and the opinion of men? How is that possible?

“Yes, with man’s wisdom and standards it is impossible but with me as your Father it is possible. I’m God, is there anything too hard for me Chris?”

Father, what happens if I become worried and anxious and how do I overcome it?

“To be worried and anxious about anything, is to doubt or disbelieve my ability as your father to take care of you. Firstly, worrying is the breeding grounds for fear, and fear is a self-fulfilling prophecy. What you greatly fear will come upon you. Secondly Chris, when you worry or fear, you willfully give over the authority I gave you as son to the adversary to afflict you or fulfil your fears against my perfect will for your life. Thirdly when you believe a lie, you empower the liar. Hence you will live a lie for as long as you believe that lie.

“Chris the only reason you worry, is because you haven’t considered me as your heavenly father, I set the foundations of the earth so that it cannot be moved, I surrounded the earth with oceans, covered the mountains with deep waters. No beast of the field, no birds of the air nor fishes of the sea, ever goes hungry, because I feed them, more so I clothe them and house them just because I care for them. Can you consider how I have kept the vegetation and species from expiring or extinction? I have kept the constellations, the sun, the moon, the stars, lightening, rains and rainbows each to function according to my word that has gone forth out of my mouth, as the GOD and Creator of the universe. But to you, Chris am not ONLY your God neither am I only your Creator, but more profoundly, I’m your FATHER, your Heavenly FATHER and you are my beloved SON in whom am well pleased. As much as I have loved JESUS CHRIST, so have I loved you, ask of me and I will give you the nations as your inheritance and the whole earth as your possession. Fear not Chris it’s my pleasure, delight and joy as your Heavenly Father, to give you the Kingdom.”

“So long as you will do this, for every day of life as you walk with me through my word, you would be able to live a stress-free, anxious-less and worry-free life”

As a Father to me, I will not worry, I will not be afraid, I will not fear what man can do to me. I will not put my trust in man because in you, I put my trust, knowing who I am as a son to a loving FATHER.

Thank you my Father, my Father, in Jesus name amen.

What God has put together, Let no man put asunder. Part 1

Romance

Introduction

The beautiful sound from the piano, stirred up a lot of emotional memories in my mind not about the past, but rather, the future. That day was the wedding ceremony of my youth pastor and teacher Bro Biscoff as we normally call him. He was such a great inspiration to me as an 18-year-old teenager. I knew the day would come when I also take the stage to be united in marriage.

As I moved around with some friends to help in putting everything together on that day, I took time to see how the pastor officiating the wedding will join them in Holy Matrimony.

These words, were implanted in me from that day, “What God has put together let no man put asunder” Like all of us, we have heard that in almost every wedding ceremony. Theologically we have been taught this verse in Matt 10:9 in relation to how God hates separation in marriage. I knew as a teenager growing up, I will face the reality of that verse one day.

Over ten years up the ladder of life I am at the door of that day. Up until then, all I knew was what someone taught me and the Christian books I read and studied about marriage. It was a stepping stone, but not a full discovery of truth. I knew ” it’s not the truth that someone else knows and shares that makes you free, but rather, it’s the truth YOU know (for yourself) that makes YOU free.

Marriage

In Genesis, God was the only one to witness Adam call the ONE woman He (God) presented to him (Adam) as a wife (thus Eve). From then on we see them jointed together, inseparable as husband and wife. Carefully sketched as we read on steadily, is how Adam’s, sin affected all of them and the world they were to parent. So we see in marriage, our actions or in actions will have greater compounding effects, either positively or negatively on our relationships.

Marriage, generally as presented in the old testament was perverted after the fall of man later to be corrected in the new testament. We still see in the old testament how marriage is honorable among all things and “he that finds a wife finds a good thing.

The picture of marriage become fully clear as we move away from the shadow of the Old Testament into the reality of the New Testament.

Ephesians 5:31-32 KJV
[31] For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. [32] This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

This is the crème de la crème, a great mystery. Marriage is a complete reflection of how individually and collectively as a church we are joined to Christ, inseparable, one body, one spirit.  Heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ Jesus. Our Identity is swallowed up by his identity. We have full access to all the divine authority, power and prosperity available in the God-heard and participating in the divine experience.

The more I understood this great mystery, the simpler my Christian walk became. How did I miss this from the beginning?

Yes, I realize the truth in the sermon preached at the marriage ceremony. What God has put together let no man separate. If this is true about the physical marriage, shouldn’t it be more true about our spiritual marriage with Christ? Why do we keep dividing what God has put together? We commonly say, ” my anointing, my gift, my faith, my power, my dreams etc.”. Thus what makes the Christian Life difficult for most of us.

The Divorce Problem

Firstly, we have divorced ourselves from Christ, mainly through ignorance.

We look to our own self accomplishments which are like filthy rugs rather than trusting in what Christ Jesus has accomplished for us by Grace. Rather than discovering my Christ identity, I struggled in search for my self-Identity. This is simply selfishness; Christ Identity is not the same as Self Identity. “I was Crucified with Christ nevertheless I live, but not I, it is Christ that lives in me”. I will never forget when the Spirit of God revealed to me; “the ONLY and GREATEST deliverance anyone needs, is not deliverance from the devil, but rather deliverance from SELF” because the devil has already been defeated. Lots of divine and godly relationships and marriages divorce because two selfish people cannot be united together.

Secondly, As I fellowshipped with the law of Moses thus the Old Covenant, I realised how separated(divorced) I was from God but the Gospel (the Too Good to be True) in the New Covenant reveals to me how Christ has broken down the middle wall that separated me from the Father. By one Spirit have we all be baptized (submerged) into Christ. There are those who through ignorance still preach today a distance God, an angry and judgmental God who is counting our sins. The truth is seen especially in what Jesus told the disciples in his concluding statements, thus, He and the Father, will come and make their home (dwelling place) in us through the agency of the Holy Spirit. He said He will never leave us nor forsake us. He loves us enough to forgive us, correct and guide us. God was in Christ Jesus reconciling the world to himself not counting or inputting our sins against us.

Finally, we are all a reflection of the perceived image we have of God to our spouses, children, friends, colleagues and love ones. A negative image about God thus unforgiving, angry, judgmental and repulsive towards sin, will affect the way we treat others. The vice versa is true as well, when we have a positive image about God. It influences the way we are forgiving, generous, patient, faithful and loving.

Remember, what God has put together, let no man put asunder.

8 Signs that a Church Doesn’t Get Grace — Escape to Reality

A while ago I listed eight signs of hyper-grace churches. A hyper-grace church is one that is so focused on Jesus that it begins to look like Jesus, talk like Jesus, and smell like Jesus. To highlight a positive it helps to accentuate the negative. So how do we get it wrong? What are the […]

Why Christmas?

Christian-Christmas born

Chris Nyavor in fellowship with Andrew Wommack. This is from a non theological or religions point of view. (This answered all my questions and doubt about Christmas. It’s my prayer that through the Sprit of Grace this fellowship will be extended around the globe.)

Andrew: Even before I received the baptism in the Holy Spirit, I got discontented with all the commercialism associated with Christmas. I remember as a fourteen- or fifteen-year-old teenager, I convinced my family to take all the money we would have spent on gifts for each other and to give that money to the missions program at church. That allowed our Christmas celebration to center on what was really important.

Then, when I had my miraculous encounter with the Lord on March 23, 1968, I fell in love with Him a thousand times more than I had ever experienced His love at Christmas. It was like every day was Christmas, many times over. Therefore, Christmas became just another day to me.

As I began to seek the Lord, I became aware of all the pagan practices incorporated into the Christmas season, and I became disillusioned with the whole thing. For the first sixteen years of my married life, we didn’t have a Christmas tree or decorate for Christmas. We would have a birthday cake for Jesus and give gifts to our boys, but we made it clear that they came from the Lord, through us, and not from some fat man in a red suit.

Chris: We are been told by many theological and religions studies, not to celebrate Christmas, they seem right in their logical break down of the subject.

Andrew: When we moved into our present house fourteen years ago, my boys asked if we could have a Christmas tree. They said they knew the pagan origins of the custom, but they just thought it was pretty, and they wanted to look at it the way Martin Luther did — as a symbol of everlasting life. I gave in and we’ve enjoyed a Christmas tree ever since.

But as I’ve grow older, I’ve come to appreciate the positive side of Christmas much more. In a culture that has become increasingly secular, where it is politically incorrect to even mention the name of the Lord lest we offend someone, I think it’s awesome that Christmas brings some of the greatest truths of the Gospel to light in public.

When else can you enter into stores and hear some of the greatest Christian songs ever written being played, like “Joy to the World”? That’s awesome! You will see displays of the nativity scene in places that the only mention of the Lord at other seasons would be to take His name in vain.

People talk about loving one another as God loved us by sending His Son to the earth. We are reminded of values that are forgotten or at least diminished at other times of the year. And if it weren’t for the Christmas holidays, family relationships would be worse than they are. This is the only time many families make an attempt to get along.

Chris: This is really amazing as you share, its completely outside religion and theology.

In the fight against the de-Christianizing of our nation, I think the Christmas celebration is a great victory. I take pleasure in seeing the wonderful truths of God’s love for man displayed in public and having concerts in such places where Christ is being proclaimed in song.

It’s a shame that some people only go to church at Christmas, but praise God, at least they go then. That’s an opportunity. And Christmas opens up many opportunities to share our faith.

One complaint that I still have is that “the Christmas story” has become so familiar and has focused so narrowly on only the birth of the baby Jesus that some of the great truths present in that miraculous birth are not seen. Some of the greatest lessons in Scripture are hidden in the account of Christ’s birth, and the average person is totally oblivious to them.

For that reason, I made a four-part album entitled, Lessons from the Christmas Story for Every Season. In this album, I share what I consider to be some of the most important things the Lord has ever shown me.

Chris: kindly summarize it for us.

Did you realize that the virgin birth of Jesus was totally normal in every respect except one? Mary didn’t become pregnant without contact with a seed. The laws of reproduction that God created weren’t suspended. Everything was exactly like all the millions of other births except that God used the seed of His Word instead of the seed of a man to get Mary pregnant.

That’s why John 1:14 says,

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us.”

Jesus was literally God’s Word becoming flesh. God used His Word as the sperm that conceived Jesus. This answers a lot of questions. Questions like: Why did the Lord wait four thousand years after the fall of man before He sent Jesus to the earth? Why did God have to become a man? The answers to these questions lie in the way God made creation, the authority He gave man, and the integrity of His Word.

When God created the heavens and the earth, He spoke them into existence. Hebrews 11:3 says,

“Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”

So, God created everything by His Word. That’s how He creates. When it came time to create the last Adam (1 Cor. 15:45), God had to speak Him into existence. However, He had given dominion over the earth to physical human beings. Since God is a Spirit (John 4:24), He couldn’t just speak Christ into existence independent of man. He had turned the control or dominion of the earth over to man (Gen. 1:26-28). That’s why God had to become a man. But, how could He work through sinful, corrupt man to create a Redeemer?

He spoke to the hearts of men who would listen to Him, and they, in turn, would use their God-given authority over the earth to speak out the prophecies that God had placed in their hearts. The problem was that men had become separated from God through their sin. No one man was in tune closely enough to God to speak everything that needed to be spoken. So, it took about four thousand years to complete the prophecies that had to be spoken to create the body for God to become flesh.

Then when Mary received the message of Gabriel, she humbled herself and said,

“Be it unto me according to thy word” (Luke 1:38)

She received God’s Word into her womb, and the conception of the Messiah took place.

Likewise, that’s how 1 Peter 1:23 says we are born again,

“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever.”

God’s Word is a spiritual seed that has to be planted in our hearts to conceive a miracle. The new birth doesn’t just happen any more than babies just happen. Children have to be conceived, and so does salvation or any other miracle from God. We have to be born again by the incorruptible seed of God’s Word (1 Pet. 1:23).

Once a seed is planted, there is a nurturing and maturing process. That’s where prayer comes in. Prayer is like water and fertilizer or incubation to a seed. But if you water or fertilize barren ground, nothing will happen. There has to be the planting of a seed first.

Likewise, we have mistakenly tried to only pray our miracles into existence. Prayer is important, but you can’t conceive through prayer.

Chris: Wow Andrew, you are renewing my mind about this “You can’t conceive through prayer”

Andrew: It’s the seed of God’s Word has to be sown. As Romans 10:14-17 says,

“………….So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

We would consider a woman crazy who is trying to have a child without following the natural laws of reproduction. But in the spiritual realm, Christians try to give birth to miracles all the time without ever planting God’s Word in their hearts. It just doesn’t work that way.

And then there’s the message of the angels that said,

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” (Luke 2:14)

This was not an announcement of an end of hostilities among men. History has proven that can’t be what the angels were proclaiming. Instead, this was the proclamation that the war between God and man was over. That’s not been understood or proclaimed by the church as a whole. Most people still think God is mad at them. That’s not so. He’s not mad, and He’s not even in a bad mood. Jesus satisfied His wrath completely. He is just, and there will be punishment for those who refuse the sacrifice of His Son for our sins. But God is not angry because of our sins. That’s been taken care of.

This Gospel of peace is one reason there is such a universal acceptance of the Christmas season, even among those who are not born again. Christmas is all about God’s love and mercy, not His damnation. It’s spotlighting God’s unconditional love for us the way it should be done all year long. It’s focusing on the good news of God’s love and not the bad news of our failures. That’s the Gospel of peace that the angels were singing about, and that should be our message too.

Chris: What a liberty to know God is not mad at us even when we are wrong

Andrew: Yes, then there’s the story of the wise men. Did you know that the Scriptures never say there were three wise men, and there is no indication that they were kings? They also didn’t visit Christ in the manger in Bethlehem, but in his house in Nazareth. (Go read for yourself and don’t just depend on what I say or someone says)

Chris: I guess that was part of the Sunday school stories they added as usual.

And one of the best parts of the Christmas story is the way Mary let the Lord convince Joseph of the true nature of these events.

Thanks Andrew, for making this message of the gospel simple. I always say, “if it’s not simple then it’s not the gospel”
